Resincoat Fast Cure Epoxy Garage Floor Paint

Our fast cure epoxy garage floor paint is perfect for time critical jobs meaning minimal downtime & less disruption. The rapid 4 hour cure time allows you to install a 3 coat system (primer, followed by 2 coats of epoxy floor paint) in 1 day. The epoxy is available in a great choice of colour options & can be used with our anti slip additives. Ideal for both DIYers, commercial floors, installers & more this coating boasts an incredibly durable design that will last for many years.  

Our fast cure epoxy formula has been proudly manufactured and tested by us, in the UK, for guaranteed quality and performance. This product is solvent free and possesses exceptional abrasion & chemical resistant. Ideal for areas subject to heavy machinery or vehicle traffic the epoxy is exceptionally hard wearing whilst offering a high gloss finish.

Please see below approximate cure times at varying temperatures:

Touch dry (20°C) - 150 minutes

Touch dry (10°C) - 5-8 hours

Hard cure (20°C) - 10-12 hours

Hard cure (10°C) - 18-24 hours

Lowest temperature - 0°C with extended cure time

Preparation:
Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and if well bonded abraded sanded to create texture prior to applying the paint. Preparing the floor mechanically (shot blasting or grinding) is always advisable but if that is not possible our Etch and Clean is a good alternative. Before applying our fast cure garage floor paint we advise that you vacuum the area. 

Priming:
We recommend the use of our quick cure epoxy primer. This primer will cure in 4 hours at 10°C.

Resincoat Quick Cure Epoxy Primer

Application:
Please note for 2 coats you will require 2 epoxy rollers.

1. Pour 100% of your part B tin in to part A
2. Mix resin components together with a drill and paddle for 1 minute
3. Pour content in to a paint scuttle
4. Immediately begin applying your paint with an epoxy roller frame and sleeve
5. Use a brush around the edges for a smooth finish (a second pair of hands comes in useful)
6. Once coat one has been applied leave 4 hours* then apply second coat

*If ambient temperatures are below 10°C the coating make take longer to cure. 

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes. 

Pot life = Time to harden in pot following addition of hardener
Working Time = Time to apply product before becoming unworkable

• Please note direct sunlight may cause the coating to discolour, for areas exposed to sunlight we recommend the use of our Polyaspartic Fast Cure Coating.
• This product can NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. The resin formula is chemically manufactured to work efficiently and effectively based on the exact amounts supplied in full tins for parts A & B
• This product is NOT self levelling.
