Resincoat Polyscreed Industrial Polyurethane Screed

Resincoat Polyscreed has been designed to provide excellent resistance to abrasion, chemical attacks and other physical aggression making it a superb choice for chemical factories, breweries and food preparation areas where more than just a sprucing up is required. The screed is great for areas subject to heavy loading or where a slip resistant profile is desirable such as wet areas. Polyscreed is stable to steam cleaning and hot water exposure at a thickness of 9mm allowing easy maintenance of this coating. 

If your floor is uneven a screed will in all likelihood be required to provide a level of flatness. Various screeds are available commercially but recognised as the best and most durable is that of the polyurethane screed genre. Manufactured by Resincoat in the UK we can guarantee high performance and quality of our polyurethane screed. Easily trowel applied the screeds fluid consistency makes it workable on your floor and can easily be applied in one step. The fast cure time means there is little down time and minimal disruption to the workplace.

Preparation:

Before applying this product we advise that you vacuum the area & ensure the area is clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease and surface treatments. Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and if well bonded abraded sanded to create texture prior to applying the paint. Preparing the floor mechanically; shot blasting or grinding is always advisable to remove laitance and previous surface treatment leaving an open textured surface. 

Priming:

Before applying this screed all surfaces must be coated with Resincoat Epoxy Primer & the scattered with coarse Anti-Slip Aggregate prior to coating. The primer should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 16 hours prior to the application of polyurethane screed.

Application:

When applying this product the ambient temperature needs to be between 10°C to 30°C.

1. Empty the hardener component (part B) in to the coloured resin component (part A) and mix for a minimum of 1 minute to provide a homogeneous mix

2. Load this mixture into a rotary drum mixer and add the aggregate component (part C) in stages 

3. Mix until a lump free mix is obtained

4. Pour the mixture on to your pre-primed surface and spread evenly with a trowel to the required thickness achieving a flat surface 

5. Once fully trowelled down allow to fully cure (10 hours). Light vehicle traffic allowed after 24 hours.
