Resincoat Fast Cure Epoxy Primer

Resincoat fast cure epoxy primer is ideal for use with the fast cure epoxy garage floor paint, allowing you to complete your flooring project in 1 day. This high strength formula is suited to sound concrete providing a protective seal and helping the subsequent coating adhere, ensuring durability. Our fast cure primer provides a better chemical bond when using epoxy coatings, this results in a longer lasting and a more durable concrete floor coating.

Please see below approximate cure times at varying temperatures:

Touch dry (20°C) - 150 minutes

Touch dry (10°C) - 5-8 hours

Hard cure (20°C) - 10-12 hours

Hard cure (10°C) - 18-24 hours

Lowest temperature - 0°C with extended cure time

Preparation:

Before applying a primer we advise that the surface be prepared correctly. Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and if well bonded abraded sanded to create texture prior to applying the primer. Preparing the floor mechanically by sanding or our preferred method of grinding is always advised as this will help create a key for the epoxy to adhere to. After preparing ensure your surface is vacuumed to remove any dust and dirt. 

Application:

We recommend this product be applied at 15°C

1. Pour 100% of your part B tin in to part A
2. Mix resin components together with a drill and paddle for 1 minute
3. Pour content in to a paint scuttle
4. Immediately begin applying your paint with an epoxy roller frame and sleeve
5. Use a brush around the edges for a smooth finish (a second pair of hands comes in useful)
6. Once complete leave to cure (around 4 hours)

*Please note cure time can take longer dependent upon ambient temperature

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the product will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the primer from the tin in this window. The primer will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes.
