Preparation:
Before applying our coating please ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned, defects (including rust) made good by sanding and filling where necessary. For the best key we recommend a gentle sand with fine grit paper. Dust, dirty & debris should be removed, before a wipe down with a normal cleaning solvent such as methylated spirit.
Application:
Brush/Roller:
1. Prime the surface with the garage door paint primer
2. Allow 4 hours for the primer to cure
3. Stir the garage door paint thoroughly, before and during use
4. Begin to apply the product using your brush or roller
5. Allow paint to dry for 24 hours
6. Apply second coat of garage door paint (if required)
7. Leave for 24 hours to dry
Spray Gun:
1. Prime the surface with the garage door paint primer
2. Allow 4 hours for the primer to cure
3. Follow spray gun manufacturers instructions to thin the coating for the relevant spray system being used. Please note the paint can be thinned by solvent up to 10%
4. Begin to apply the garage door paint
5. Allow paint to dry for 24 hours
6. Apply second coat of garage door paint (if required)
7. Leave for 24 hours to dry
*Please note it is important to ensure your substrate does not get wet in between coats
