Preparation:
The key to a perfect finish is surface preparation. Before applying Resincoat Hygienic Kennel & Cattery Floor Paint we recommend all existing paint finishes are removed and the surface is abraded or primed where required. Fully vacuum the area to ensure it is free from dust and laitance. Mechnical preparation such as shot blasting or grinding is the preferred method but if that is not possible or not practical we recommend use of Resincoat Etch and Clean. Please note for 2 coats you will require 2 epoxy rollers.
Please see below for the best primer for your floor:
• For new concrete floors prime with Resincoat Damp Tolerant Primer
• For dusty or old floors prime with Resincoat Deep Penetrating Primer
• For greasy floors with oil residue clean thoroughly scraping off any dust or dirt and prime with Resincoat Oil Tolerant Primer
Application:
1. Pour 100% content of part B in to part A
2. Mix resin components together with a drill and paddle for 1 minute
3. Pour content in to a paint scuttle
4. Immediately begin applying your paint with an epoxy roller frame and sleeve
5. Use a brush around the edges for a smooth finish (a second pair of hands comes in useful)
6. Once coat one has been applied leave 12-24 hours then apply second coat
*Ensure pets are kept off the surface for at least 3 days after painting.
