Anti-Lime Sealer Concentrate

UberSeal Anti-Lime Sealer Concentrate is specifically formulated to prevent free lime leaching in new concrete. It is commonly used alongside the UberSeal range of waterproofing membranes and drainage system components for effective anti-lime treatment in new concrete.

This inhibitor is also suitable for treating walls and existing concrete slabs, especially in cut recesses prepared for drainage channel installation.

When diluted, the treatment penetrates the surface of masonry or concrete, reducing capillary pore size. These narrower pores significantly decrease the movement of free lime through the surface.

COVERAGE RATES

Once diluted, a 20 Litre mixed unit should have a coverage of up to 200m².

APPLICATION GUIDE

Preparation

Remove all loose material and surface laitance, such as dust, oil, grease, corrosion, and organic growth, using appropriate methods like wet grit or water blasting techniques.

Ensure there is no water pooling before application. UberSeal Anti-Lime Sealer can be applied to matt damp surfaces, but not wet surfaces.

Application

1. Add 16 litres of clean water into a clean container or sprayer. Pour the contents of the Anti-Lime Sealer into the container or sprayer.
2. Fill the Anti-Lime Sealer packaging with an additional 2 litres of water and pour it into the container or sprayer.
3. Apply evenly to the clean substrate using a coarse sprayer, masonry roller, or brush at a rate of 0.2–0.3 l/m² in a single coat.
4. Allow the substrate to absorb the Anti-Lime Sealer for a minimum of 3 hours. Once touch dry, it can be walked on or covered.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Do not apply the lime inhibitor in the following situations:

• on frost filled surfaces or when the temperature is 5°C and falling
• when the temperature is 25°C and rising
• Do not apply more than one coat.
• Do not re-apply once dry.
• Protect non-target surfaces from the inhibitor due to staining - it will be extremely difficult to remove once dry.
• Clean equipment immediately after use with water.
